I can’t upload pictures anymore to my blog….and I can’t figure out why??!

LAME…I’m going to keep trying…but I am annoyed!

This morning Matt got a job at Starbucks…which is awesome, what we needed, and a total answer to prayer. However, it also came with a quick realization that he will now be working around 50 hours a week, at minimum wage, for us to barely be scraping by. I tried really hard not to be disappointed, but I was.

But God has been speaking to me all day, reminding me that we don’t live by explanations, but on promises…that He is in control, that we will be ok, and that in the right time (whether it’s 2 months or 2 years) this too will pass.

And then I read this from Mother Teresa’s No Greater Love

“The path of loving trust means:

…an absolute, unconditional, and unwavering confidence in God our loving Father, even when everything seems to be a total failure.

…to look to Him alone as our help and protector.

…to stop doubting and being discouraged, casting all our worries and cares on the Lord, and to walk in total freedom.

…to be daring and absolutely fearless of any obstacle, knowing that nothing is impossible with God.

…total reliance on our Heavenly Father with the spontaneous abandonment of little children, totally convinced of our utter nothingness but trusting to the point of rashness with courageous confidence in His fatherly goodness.

Let us thank God for all His love for us, in so many ways and in so many places. Let us in return, as an act of gratitude and adoration, determine to be holy because He is holy.”

It encouraged me a lot, and I hope it encourages you too.

We had a great time in Pasadena last weekend! Graduation was so fun to be a part of, and it was so exciting to get to watch Matt walk.

Pasadena was great overall…we finally got to meet baby Malia and baby Ezra (who had just arrived the day before), hang out with some great friends that we missed, and of course see Matt’s parents who came out to celebrate as well!

I don’t think it could have been any better! Also the weekend was topped off with a call Sunday night from the Apple store offering Matt a job! It was a great weekend, thanks everyone for making time to hang out with us!

(I’ve been trying for the past few days to upload pics, but I can’t figure out why it’s not working, hopefully we’ll figure it out soon)

Matt’s MDiv that is! He came home about 15 minutes ago from finishing his last final ever! What a weird feeling. Something we’ve been pursuing for the past 3.5 years is finally complete…it feels very surreal, and I’m sure it won’t sink in until graduation on Saturday, if it even sinks in then…we’ll see…

I must say that I am awfully proud of him, he has worked so hard and has put his entire heart into this degree. From long hours in the library, to working 3-4 odd jobs at a time to writing papers that never seemed to end…

It’s been a joy, a struggle, a learning and growing time for both of us…and I know it has prepared us for what God has next.

Thanks to all of you who helped us along the way too. We are so looking forward to celebrating this weekend, and I’m sure I’ll have a ton of pics to post!
