Myka and I have seriously been on a mission to find the best park in Fresno. It hasn’t been easy. I didn’t know how spoiled we were with the Fuller playground right next to our apartment in Pasadena.

I think the hardest thing here is the heat, so it hasn’t been easy to find a place that has shade and a play area for younger kids.

And the other dilemma….the sand….or rubber tire pieces (which seems to be the most common used ground filler here) the problem with these is also the heat…….or the wood chips that I’m afraid I’ll get a splinter from, so I’m probably overly cautious with Myka.

All this to say that I think our mission is completed!

Orso de Oro Lake Park of Fresno…it’s a little farther away, but it has 2 playgrounds, lots of shade, foam flooring (which I’m a big fan of), swings and a lake with ducks and turtles!

We had a great time there the other day with the Grillos and I’m sure we’ll be back very soon. I didn’t take enough pics, but here’s Myka on her snack break.
